Blepharoplasty is the surgery performed to repair the defects, droopy eyelids by removing excessive fat, muscles and skin from the eyelids.
Blepharoplasty can performed on the upper eyelid, lower eyelid or both.
Upper blepharoplasty surgery is performed by making cut on the fold of the eyelid, removing excessive fat, muscle and skin.
Then followed by thin sutures to combine the skin together to allow creation of an eyelid crease.
Lower eyelid surgery (transconjunctival approach) is performed by direct incisions below the lashline or inside the eyelid.
