Liposuction Recovery

As a common thing with other fat loss surgeries, it’s quite natural to feel uneasiness after the liposuction Surgery is performed. The limit is uncertain; however the feeling of pain depends on the size of liposuction surgery, major areas covered during liposuction, the surgical procedures and techniques performed, recovery still depends to the large extent from individual to individual. The small incisions made during the liposuction surgery can be indirect as large chunk of surgery is performed through these little incisions.

It has been noticed that one could have some dizziness and feel uncomfortable after the liposuction surgery due to medicinal use for at least 1-3 days, post which the above mentioned symptoms tend to decline promptly. As medication provided to ease the discomfort, the pain keeps on decreasing along with the discomfort. Many of the people who have gone through the liposuction surgery have described that they feel as if they have worked out very hard in the gym for very long.

Swelling and bruising is a common thing, however the level is really unpredictable. The amount of pain is directly proportional to the amount of fat removed and liposuction technique used. Patients how are allergic and tend to bruise and swell under normal conditions are more prone to considerable bruising after the liposuction surgery.

It is common to have scattered areas of hardness and lumps throughout the areas of liposuction performed, furthermore numbness, dizziness, tiredness and lethargic feelings are reported very often.

Patients are motivated to walk few steps during the first night of the liposuction surgery and then are asked to walk freely the next day. The compression gown which was used on the patient at the end of the liposuction is left on the patient, without removing it for 3 days. The compression garment can be removed daily for bathing purposes, post bath it has to be worn back by the patient. As gown provides compressive support, many patients prefer to wear it for a longer duration (recommended to be worn for 10 days post liposuction surgery).

To accelerate the liposuction recovery process you can also follow:

  • Drink proper amount of water to avoid dehydration.
  • Wear the compression garment for the time prescribed by the surgeon.
  • Avoid using Jacuzzi, swimming pool, beach side to prevent risk of infection.
  • Avoid intake of alcohol for 24-48 hours before and after liposuction.
  • Avoid excessive exposure to direct sunlight.

Could answer shemtoing for me? I want a tummy tuck and was wondering what the possibility was that I could have the incision as low as it can go. Right above the pubic bone. I do not have too much skin that needs to be removed. What is the best case scenario that someone could have the incision really low. What makes the difference in where and how low the incision is made? Im not sure you will understand what I am trying to say but I really hope so. This is my main concern
